The Full Story | Hector (Manny) Feliciano
My journey from aspiring Architect to passionate Game Developer has defined the course of my life. Graduating from the New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's of Science in Architectural Technology marked the completion of one chapter and the inception of another. It was during my last few semesters in school that I stumbled upon Unity, a platform that ignited my passion like nothing else before. Unity's versatile toolkit, encompassing UI, animation, art, coding, and more captured my interest.
The transition from where I was originally from, New Jersey, to the bustling landscape of New York City was driven by the pursuit of better opportunities and a sense of belonging. Coincidentally, it was also the birthplace of my newfound love for Unity. It was here that I embarked on my first significant Unity project, Food Fight Arena, a 3D marvel that laid the foundation for my current game, "Let Him Cook." Although Food Fight Arena didn't gain substantial user engagement, the journey was a testament to my determination and self-teaching prowess, culminating in successful iOS and Android releases.
Fast forward a year after my graduation from architecture school, and I found myself deeply immersed in the development of "Let Him Cook." This 2D game, born as a sequel to Food Fight Arena, evolved into something extraordinary. Its charm drove me into its creation every day after my uninspiring architecture internship. As I look to the future, I am filled with excitement and anticipation, eager to explore the multitude of opportunities this path has to offer. These two years have been nothing short of amazing, and I wouldn't trade this experience for anything else.
